This notice explains how enquiries sent to SolarCharged are handled. SolarCharged is an independent UK homeowner information website. For privacy questions, contact hello@solarcharged.co.uk.
What we receive
When you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to include. Please avoid sending sensitive information.
Why we use it
We use the information to understand and reply to your enquiry, and to manage correspondence. Our intended lawful basis for ordinary enquiries is legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us. Where another basis is required, we will assess it before processing.
Where your email goes
Messages addressed to hello@solarcharged.co.uk are forwarded by ImprovMX to our Gmail inbox. These providers process information as part of providing email services. We do not currently operate a live installer-matching service or share enquiries with installers. If that changes, we will explain the arrangement and seek appropriate permission before sharing details.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry and any related follow-up, then review it for deletion. We have not yet established a fixed retention period; you can ask us about your particular message.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to use of your personal data. Contact us at the address above. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Website information
This notice describes our email enquiries. It does not claim that the website has no technical logs or cookies: hosting providers may process technical connection data. We will update this notice before adding analytics, advertising, lead forms or other features that need further disclosure.
