Find a solar specialist
Need help with solar panels, an inverter or a home battery? Start by working out whether you really need a professional visit.
We're speaking to businesses about possible partnerships, but we do not yet offer a live matching or booking service. We won't claim to have vetted or approved a network that doesn't exist.
In the meantime, the advice below can help you find the right kind of professional yourself.
What sort of help do you need?
- Inverter fault or error message: note the exact error code and contact the installer or manufacturer for guidance. If an electrical repair is needed, use a competent solar electrical professional.
- Unexpectedly low output: compare your generation with recent weather and past readings before assuming the system has failed.
- Damaged panel, wiring or roof leak: avoid touching damaged equipment; arrange a professional assessment.
- Battery or system upgrade: get an assessment of your existing system and a written quote before buying anything.
- Routine maintenance: check your documentation and warranty first; not every system needs a paid annual visit.
Do not climb onto the roof, open an inverter or electrical enclosure, disconnect solar cables or attempt electrical repairs. If you see smoke, sparks or signs of fire, move away and contact emergency services as appropriate.
Five questions to ask before booking
- Do you work on systems installed by other companies?
- What experience and relevant qualifications do you have for this specific job?
- Is there a diagnostic or call-out charge, and what does it include?
- Will you give me a written quote before any additional work?
- Will the work affect my existing warranties or export-payment arrangements?
What SolarCharged will do differently
Our aim is to offer straightforward advice first. If a professional is genuinely needed, we want to make introductions only with the homeowner's permission. Any paid referral arrangement will be clearly disclosed.
We are not collecting homeowner details through this page yet. Before launching enquiries, we'll publish clear privacy information and confirm which businesses can take on the work.
Email us directly. We can offer general guidance, but specialist matching is not yet available.
